Dr. Mokhlesi is a Professor of Medicine and Director of the Sleep Disorders Center at the University of Chicago. His expertise are in pulmonary, critical care and sleep medicine. His clinical practice is centered on critical care medicine and sleep disorders. He has a particular interest in sleep-disordered breathing such as obstructive sleep apnea and obesity hypoventilation syndrome. His clinical research interests include: cardiometabolic impact of obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and REM-related OSA, adherence to CPAP therapy, positive airway pressure therapy in obesity hypoventilation syndrome, and postoperative risk associated with sleep-disordered breathing. His research is currently funded by NHLBI/NIH.
Dr. Mokhlesi's NIH Commons ID is bmokhles.
