Dear Colleagues and Leaders,
I am pleased to announce that effective 1 October 2024, Dr. Michael O’Connor will assume the role of Executive Vice Chair in the Department of Anesthesia and Critical Care (DACC). Dr. O’Connor is a Professor in the Department and will continue to serve as Vice Chair for Academic Affairs.
In the role of Executive Vice Chair, Dr. O’Connor will support the Chair in department administrative and operational issues. Dr. O’Connor will serve as the official deputy of the DACC chair and will fill the role of the chair if the chair is unable to do so, including but not limited to, serving as the DACC spokesperson or department representative. When the chair is unavailable, the EVC will have authority to address urgent issues that might arise.
