Congrats Dr. Magdalena Anitescu on editing and publishing the first ever educational guidelines for pain fellowship curriculum, book published in Springer in July. Available on Amazon and Springer websites.
Book is the actual essential curriculum for the education of pain fellows.
There is no other comprehensive curriculum like this one in the history of pain medicine fellowship since it's introduction in 1992.
The content is entirely my design based on ABA, ASA, IASP, ASRA, ESRA, NANS, INS and other pain societies educational requirements.
It has been written by program directors, pain physicians and contributors from disciplines essential for pain medicine (physiatry, psychiatry, neurology, palliative care, etc). Authors include UCM pain faculty, UCM palliative care faculty, UCM psychology faculty, Pain PD's from around the country, about 40 contributors in total.
It has been endorsed by APPD and ASRA, originally commissioned by ASRA.
You can call it the "bible" of pain medicine as it covers all its topics and elements; the text is supplemented with ample references to expand knowledge further.
2 years in the making, 1.5 years in design/discussions with contributors, 6-8 months in editorial review, total 4 years of hard work.
