Two DACC faculty elected to the FAER Academy of Research Mentors in Anesthesiology

Michael O’Connor, MD, professor of anesthesiology, and Peter Nagele, MD, MSc, professor of anesthesiology and chair of the department, have been elected as members of the Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research (FAER) Academy of Research Mentors in Anesthesiology(https://www.asahq.org/faer/programs/mentoracademies/research-mentor-academy).

 

Founded in 2004, the FAER Academy of Research Mentors in Anesthesiology is an honorific society that facilitates the development of educational and research programs for junior faculty members, and it supports faculty members in mentoring roles. The Research Mentor Academy is a resource for the development of mentors and role models in academic anesthesia. Academy members include leading academic anesthesiologists and others who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to the development of physician-scientists in anesthesia, critical care, and perioperative medicine.
